Finding a Telephone and Internet provider in Luxembourg

You ever wondered, how to choose the right Telephone and Internet provider in Luxembourg?

In this post, we will help you with some key facts about the Telephone and Internet providers in Luxembourg. The question of choosing the right provider, is in my point of view, more or less the same in all countries. You need to know them.

In Luxembourg, like most probably in most other countries as well, there are some “old / established” providers with a lot of shops in Center. You usually find them in the city or other well-frequented places. Normally these providers have more or less good reputations. On the opposite to the traditional telephone and internet providers, there are some new brands with “funny” business models or cheap plans as well.

In Luxembourg, I could find a hand full providers for internet, landlines, and cell phones:

Two well-established providers POST (or POST.lu) and Tango and some smaller once, with fewer shops and less presents than the other two.

With the List below, I would like to give you an overview of the market and some information about the providers.

Fir of all the “formulas” or options you can choose:

2 play (internet + landline),

3 play (internet + landline + cell phone),

4 play (internet + landline + cellphone + cable)

The List of the all in one telephone and internet provider in Luxembourg:

1. Post  (Post.lu)

Post or Post.lu offers all four products separately as well as its offers Packages like BAMBOO (s) starting from 46€ per month for a TV, Internet and Landline Package.

2. Orange (orange.lu)

Orange, is one of the most known providers abroad. In Luxembourg its offers begin with 34€ for a 2 Play – internet and telephone at home and stops with 75€ per month for 4 Play – internet, landline, cell phone and TV.

3. Tango  (tango.lu)

Tango, in my point of view the number two in Luxembourg, starts its offers for 2 Play by 39,99 €.

You can add TV for 15,99 as well as choose from different Cell phone packages.

4. Join  (Joinexperience.com)

Join is the newcomer in Luxembourg and provides interesting offers, even if I already heard some, not so good stories about them. On the Website, you can see the “Young” spirit of this company.

As I recently checked the offers, I need to say I cannot see so much advantage against the other three providers above.

Nevertheless, you never know the current offer.

5. Luxembourg Online  (Internet.lu)

Luxembourg Online offers the full package as well

6. Eltrona  (eltrona.lu)

Eltrona has several Package starting from the only Internet option for 19,95 up to the big package for 139€

Providers for only Internet + Landline and Television in Luxembourg (No Cell phone)

1. SFR or previously Numericable   (SFR.lu before numericable.lu)

SFR or previously Numericable is a Provider for Internet, Television, and Landline in Luxembourg but it does not offer the mobile services. For me, SFR.lu is only here to complete the list, but I don’t see any advantage even looking at it.

Additional Providers for Prepaid card for Cell phones

1. BananaSim:

https://bananasim.com/

Making calls, surfing, and texting everywhere in Europe at the best rates. All European operators are included in your plan, all over Europe! You can mix data, call and text credit everywhere in Europe.

Banana SIM is a prepaid flat without borders. And with your Banana SIM, you don’t have to pay for incoming calls in Europe.

Conclusion about the Telephone and Internet provider in Luxembourg

The established providers offer all packages you need when you relocate to Luxembourg. They offer internet, landline, and mobile phone plans. We chose Tango as we moved here and so far we are not thinking about changing.

We wanted to have Internet connection as a must and we “needed” to have a cellphone. A landline was an option, but to be honest who needs a landline nowadays? Even if the landlines have the benefit of cheap fees for getting calls. You have your cellphone always close to you, and when somebody calls you on the landline, you need to get up and look for the phone ;).

I’ll update this post when I find more newcomers.

Nevertheless, please feel welcome to comment on my post if you know more providers or you have a different opinion about them.

What are your favorite landline, Internet, and mobile providers?
